RighTime is a memory-resident (TSR) program which will correct the PC's CMOS-type clock error up to about 5.5 minutes per day. It "learns" about your clock's innacuracies over a period of days and can end up making both your battery-powered CMOS clock and the DOS clock continuously correct themselves to maintain an accuracy of about one part per million... about 30 times better than a quality watch. If RighTime is automatically and dependably installed via AUTOEXEC.BAT, the system clock will behave as properly and accurately as one should hope the system clock of a computer would. The author suggests using RighTime with TIMESET by Peter Petrakis, also available online.
The RighTime TSR occupies about 6.5K of memory, and it may be loaded high with an appropriate memory manager.
Compatibilty Note: RighTime does not support the AT&T PC 6300, Tandy 1000 series, AST Six Pack, or ROM-socket and floppy-connector clocks, since these system clocks do not follow the PC/AT standard.
